Joseph Lischwe – President

Joe Lischwe is in the Class of 2010 double majoring in Economics and Mathematics. He joined NSH because of the incredible experiential experience it offered to students. During Winter Quarter of 2008, Joe joined NSH as an Analyst focusing on WED. After a year of working closely with Louise and Qiyun, Joe became the Chief Operating Office for NSH and is now the President of WED. Outside of NSH, Joe assisted in the creation of a new group focused on social entrepreneurship, SENU. Also, he is an active volunteer for Oasis and NCDC. In his free time, Joe enjoys to play soccer and to go for a run outside. This past summer, Joe interned with the Investment Management division of JP Morgan in NYC. He will be working in their Asset Management division after graduation.

Qiyun Cai – Vice President of Finance

Qiyun Cai is a senior at Northwestern majoring in Integrated Science Program, Mathematics, and Economics. She chose those three majors because of her interest in science and business. Her interest in business and finance led her to NSH. She is currently the Vice President of Finance for Wildcat Express Delivery, in charge of accounting and finance. Before joining NSH, she served as Resource Development Co‐chair for National Student Partnership, a nation‐wide student‐run non‐profit organization. Having had previous working experience in financial services firms, Qiyun is considering a long‐term career in finance and consulting.

Michael Deem – Vice President of Operations

Mike Deem is an Industrial Engineering and Managerial Sciences major in the class of 2012. He is considering double majoring in Manufacturing and Design Engineering as well because product development is as important to him as the service industry‐‐the latter being the reason he joined NSH as the VP of Operation for WED in February of 2009. In high school, Mike rowed competitively and played the saxophone and clarinet, but has yet to pick up the same hobbies in college. As a freshman, he does not have plans for after graduation yet, but sees himself in an entrepreneurial setting and returning to school for an MBA.

Kathy Duan – Vice President of Operations

Kathy Duan is a junior in Medill double majoring in journalism and economics with an integrated marketing communications certificate. She has a passion for social media, marketing and communications and hopes to work for either Publicis or Leo Burnett in a digital/social media marketing related field. Kathy is currently a marketing intern at the Joel Warady Group and will be working in the marketing department at Allstate this summer. Last year, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as a marketing and instructional design intern. During her free‐time, Kathy enjoys baking, long distance running, becoming a social media guru and teaching herself html and SEO.
